The Dow Jones industrial average was up 52.30 points, or 0.36%, at 14,602.65.
The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index was also up 5.89 points, or 0.38%, at 1.559.58.
The benchmarked S&P continues to struggle to reach a new all-time intraday peak.
