Multifamily lender Walker & Dunlop (WD) appointed John Pantone as senior vice president in its capital markets department.

Pantone, who holds more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate, will focus on financing all types of income-producing properties, including office, residential, hospitality, industrial and retail in the Midwest region.

The Bethesda, Md.-based mortgage lender recently acquired CWCapital, making it the 11th largest commercial/multifamily mortgage servicer in the nation, with a commercial loan servicing portfolio exceeding $30 billion.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Pantone worked as regional director for ARC Property Trust, where he was responsible for acquisitions of net lease retail properties. He held senior positions at Heller Real Estate Finance and Buchanan Street Partners and co-founded AEG Real Estate Advisors, where he was partner and managing director.

Pantone will be based out of Walker & Dunlop’s Chicago office.
