Stephen Theobald was appointed executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of Walker & Dunlop (WD), according to a press release.

Theobald joins Walker & Dunlop from Hampton Roads Bankshares where he currently is an executive vice president and chief financial officer and will move to Walker & Dunlop starting on April 1.

“Steve brings with him over two decades of audit, regulatory and executive leadership experience in the financial services industry. As Walker & Dunlop continues to grow dramatically and diversify our lending footprint, Steve’s broad finance and accounting background, experience integrating and managing finance operations in a high-growth financial services firm, and overall leadership skills will be extremely valuable to our company,” said Willy Walker, Walker & Dunlop’s chairman and CEO.
