People who visit Austin, Texas, for music festivals and other events often decide to join the ranks of its residents, AOL Real Estate reported.

And according to Forbes, Austin is the fastest-growing city in America, adding 150 people per day while pulling in high profits for a municipality.

The median home price for Austin hit $197,900 in January, up 10% from a year ago, the Austin Board of Realtors said.
