Trulia hires new VP of industry services

Trulia (TRLA) announced Tuesday that industry veteran Alon Chaver will become the new vice president of industry services for the online real estate marketplace.

With more than 25 years of experience, Chaver will oversee Trulia’s data operations and industry services. Before joining the Trulia team, Chaver was the co-founder and CEO of iHomeFinder for 15 years.

“Alon is a well respected industry veteran with an in-depth knowledge of listing data standards.  His expertise will be invaluable as we continue to improve data quality, deepen industry relationships, and expand our services to help agents, brokers, and MLSs grow their businesses,” said Pete Flint, CEO and co-founder of Trulia. “We are delighted to welcome him to the Trulia team.”

In his new role, Chaver’s key responsibilities will include strategizing and directing Trulia’s Broker, MLS and Data teams. Trulia will utilize Chaver in its efforts to build new industry services for both Brokers and MLSs, grow data quality initiatives and solidify partnerships within the industry.

“I’m excited to tackle this new role and join Trulia’s innovative team to further expand the company’s industry services, better support the success of our current partners and empower brokers and MLSs with the tools and services they need to grow their businesses and deliver value to their agents,” Chaver said.

Within the last 18 months, Trulia expanded its leadership team significantly with the hiring of Ginger Wilcox, head of industry marketing; Todd Carpenter, senior manager, industry engagement; and Matt Dollinger, head of industry relations.
