With the recent cyber attacks on banks, U.S. Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., introduced a bill called the Strengthening and Enhancing Cybersecurity by Using Research, Education, Information and Technology Act of 2013. 

The act is inspired by a series of cyber attacks on major lenders that caused widespread fear about the safety of the institution’s tech platforms and individual bank accounts.
