Realtor.com operator Move Inc. (Move) and media content delivery service RealBizMedia plan to launch a real estate listing channel that will reach 55 million household televisions.
The channel will be powered by RealBiz media's Home Tour Network unit and is set to launch in the second half of this year. The TV channel launch allows the firms to enhance the real estate search experience by making sure customers can access listings using three screens: their TV screen, mobile screen and computer.
For now, the channel will be available through the Cox cable network, with plans to expand it to other networks in the near future. On the network, potential buyers will be able to view high quality photos, videos and agent descriptions on Realtor.com listings posted from 850 multiple-listing services across America.
