Mortgage insurer Radian Guaranty (RDN) ended the month of April with 81,577 loans in its delinquent inventory, down from 85,109 at the beginning of the month.
The company also wrote $4.12 billion in new insurance, up from $3.63 billion in March.
During the month-long period, the Philadephia-based firm posted 4,230 new delinquencies, while curing 4,763 troubled loans.
A little over 2,300 loans were paid off and 696 delinquent loans faced a rescission or denial.
Comparatively, in March, Radian cured 6,338 loans, paid of 2,028 others and recorded 407 rescissions and denials.
