Three activist groups traveled to Charlotte, N.C., Wednesday to protest Bank of America’s annual shareholder meeting.

The participating groups – the California Reinvestment Coalition, NEDAP and Reinvestment Partners – say protesters want to highlight allegations of abusive mortgage servicing, lending and foreclosure practices.

"Our shareholder resolution calls for an independent review of Bank of America’s mortgage servicing and foreclosure practices," said Alexis Iwanisziw, research and policy analyst at economic justice organization NEDAP.
