Promotion of Sarah Wheeler to Editor in Chief

Sarah Wheeler joined HousingWire in 2013 as content editor

Clayton Collins, Chief Executive Officer of HousingWire, and Diego Sanchez, Chief Product Officer of HousingWire, are proud to announce the promotion of Sarah Wheeler to Editor in Chief, effective immediately.

Sarah Wheeler,
Editor in Chief

Wheeler joined HousingWire in 2013 as content editor and was promoted to magazine editor in 2015. As editor of HousingWire Magazine, Wheeler’s team was awarded numerous accolades from several respected business journalism associations, most notably recognized as a 2017 Eddie finalist for best B-to-B full issue in Banking/Business/Finance by FOLIO. Wheeler was also recognized by FOLIO as a Director-Level Doer in 2016 for her rare ability to execute on multiple content strategies.

In 2017, Wheeler was promoted to managing editor and launched HW Content Solutions, HousingWire’s brand journalism and content marketing business. Under her leadership, HW Content Solutions has doubled in size and Wheeler has gained unparalleled knowledge of mortgage and real estate technology and the access to the leaders building the future of the housing economy.

Prior to joining HousingWire, Wheeler was a copy editor at RAPP and The Richards Group.

“There is not a single person better prepared to be the face of HousingWire’s content, brand and reputation than Sarah,” Collins said. “We have worked side-by-side for four years, and in that time she has launched new products, interviewed industry leaders and represented our brand with outstanding professionalism. Sarah knows and loves the housing economy. She believes in our mission of Moving Markets Forward. She will make the housing economy better for mortgage lenders, real estate professionals and homeowners.”

Concurrent with Wheeler’s promotion, HousingWire is promoting Brena Nath to Managing Editor of HW+ and Kelsey Ramirez to Editor of HW Magazine.

“Sarah has built an incredible team of proactive and enthusiastic premium content editors,” Sanchez said. “Brena and Kelsey have really stepped up since they both rejoined HousingWire on a full-time basis. We’re so happy to have them on Team HW.”
