Xerox Bolsters BlitzDocs, Touts New Features

Xerox Corp. said Monday that it had introduced a host of new features tied to its BlitzDocs Collaboration Suite, including a new security technology and improved user functionality. Xerox acquired the BlitzDocs platform late last year, when it bought Advectis, Inc.; BlitzDocs is an eDoc platform for mortgage originators. The newest change to the BlitzDocs platform is the introduction of Xerox’s proprietary Dataglyphs technology, a security feature that embeds computer-readable data to the paper. Information regarding the mortgage loan is contained in the DataGlyphs, which act as a portable database, offering increased security and automatic classification capabilities throughout the loan process. Unlike traditional barcodes, Xerox said its technology can store hundreds of times more data and can recreate themselves when damaged or tampered. Other enhancements include an improved document submission interface, including one-click uploads and drag-and-drop functionality, Xerox said. The company also added to its network of BlitzDoc certified partners: both Salt Lake City-based Docu Prep and Costa Mesa, Calif.-based PriceMyLoan.com have joined Xerox Mortgage Services’ Certified BlitzDocs Provider Network, it said. Certified providers have linked their own platforms into BlitzDocs. For more information, visit http://www.xerox-xms.com.
