Parrado will recount the “Miracle in the Andes,” an extraordinary tale of how he and 15 of his teammates survived for 72 days in the frozen Andes Mountains after their plane crashed some 30 years ago. Another 29 perished.
The best-selling book “Alive” tells the survivors’ story and the 1993 movie of the same name stars Ethan Hawke as Parrado. Parrado is the author of The New York Times bestseller “Miracle in the Andes: 72 Days on the Mountain and My Long Trek Home,” which tells the survival story from his personal perspective.
