Walker & Dunlop searching to fill CFO, treasurer role

Commercial real estate finance firm Walker & Dunlop (WD) is launching a nationwide search for an executive to fill the single post of chief financial officer, treasurer and executive vice president after the firm announced the upcoming departure of Deborah A. Wilson.

Wilson will officially step down from the role on March 31, but plans to stay through the complete audit of the company’s 2012 financial statements and its filing of the Form 10-K with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In the meantime, the company has engaged an outside firm to conduct a search to fill Wilson’s position.

“As Walker & Dunlop enters a new phase in its 75-year history, I am closely examining the needs of the company at all levels,” said Willy Walker, CEO, president and chairman of Walker & Dunlop. “We are conducting a nationwide search for an experienced finance executive that has an understanding of the commercial real estate finance business and demonstrated leadership skills inside a publicly traded company.  I am extremely excited about what the future holds for Walker & Dunlop and believe we are firmly on the path to creating the premier commercial real estate finance company in the United States.”
