Total Mortgage Services is now an approved Government National Mortgage Association issuer for the GNMA I and II single-family mortgage-backed securities program.
This added qualification comes as the industry is pushing to keep up with added growth.
As a result, the mortgage firm is allowed to pool and securitize Federal Housing Administration, Veterans Affairs and United States Department of Agriculture mortgages, and to retain Ginnie Mae mortgage servicing rights, the company said.
In order to be Ginnie Mae qualified, companies have to be screened and processed and demonstrate good capacity in underwriting, originations and servicing.
