TenantAccess, PropertyAccess merge with FirstService

FirstService Residential Realty, TenantAccess and PropertyAccess are merging into a combined company, as a subsidiary to FirstService Corporation.

The single company is now the largest, residential property management company in North America. It will do business as FirstService Residential Realty.

According to a press release, FirstService will be a single source for asset management to property owners — be it private residents, institutional investors, or  government-sponsored enterprises.

The company can handle acquisitions, marketing and leasing of REO-to-rentals, and general property preservation.

“Property owners and institutional investors are seeking to maximize the return of their investment, optimize cash flow and support asset appreciation,” said FirstService Residential Realty newly appointed CEO Greg Tolander. “Bringing all of these companies together provides an incredible depth of services for the clients we serve.”

FirstService Residential Realty now provides services to more than 50,000 properties throughout the U.S.

There are some personnel announcements as well.

Tolander was formerly chief operating officer of FirstService Corporation subsidiary Field Asset Services.

Danielle Cooney, who previously served as vice president of National Operations for FirstService Residential Realty, was named chief operating officer, and Jim Warren, formerly senior vice president with TenantAccess and PropertyAccess, was named chief marketing officer.
