Steve Kuhn of Pine River Fixed Income hedge fund is the new king of the Wall Street.

The firm had one of its best years ever in 2012, returning 35% to investors, net of fees. 

How did Kuhn do it? By trading in the very assets that were tarred as toxic in the 2008 financial crisis: subprime mortgage-backed securities.
