RE/MAX names real estate coach as vp of franchise and business solutions

RE/MAX named Kathy Baker, a well-known real estate coach and recruiter, and the former owner of top-ranking RE/MAX United in North Carolina, as vice president of franchise and business solutions.

In her new role, Baker will be responsible for the U.S. RE/MAX franchise sales team and for a team of regional business coaches who liaison with RE/MAX offices and provide business support and coaching.

So far in 2012, the Denver-based global franchisor has added 443 franchises, up 7% from 2011.

“Priority one is to support our offices and help them grow by recruiting top-producing agents who in turn provide the best customer service to buyers and sellers,” said Margaret Kelly, CEO of RE/MAX. “Kathy has a reputation for a no-nonsense approach to real estate, fail-proof recruiting strategies and coaching that leads to success. She’s a fantastic addition to our headquarters family and will be another resource to help us continue our global growth.”

Baker began her real estate career in 1989 and became the first member to join RE/MAX United when it opened in Raleigh, N.C.  She’s also been involved with RE/MAX University, the educational arm of RE/MAX, as a consultant and trainer.

Baker will continue to assist RE/MAX University but will take on the leadership role of developing franchise sales and business coaching programs – including agent recruiting and retention.
