Mortgage insurer Radian expanded its new business volume in May, writing $4.56 billion in new primary mortgage insurance, up from $4.12 billion in April.
Overall, delinquencies fell during the period.
Radian (RDN) started the month with 81,577 loans in its delinquent inventory and ended the period with 79,344 delinquencies on file.
During the same period, 5,328 new delinquencies were filed — a figure offset by 4,340 loan cures, 2,387 paids and 834 rescissions and denials.
