Employment in the U.S. nonfarm, private business sector grew by 206,000 jobs from October to November on a seasonally adjusted basis, the ADP National Employment Report said Wednesday.

In addition, the payroll data company noted that employment increased from September to October, with that month-to-month increase revised upward to 130,000 jobs compared to the 110,000 initially reported.

Private sector employment rose by 178,000 positions in November, with employment in the large payroll segment increasing by 12,000 positions.

Private sector employment rose by 178,000 positions in November, with employment in the large payroll segment increasing by 12,000 positions.

Employment at medium-sized companies with 50 to 499 workers rose by 84,000 jobs in November, while small firms with up to 49 workers saw employment increase by 110,000 jobs.

Most of the small business jobs were created in the goods and service producing sectors.

In the sagging construction industry, employment also grew by 16,000 jobs in November – the largest gain since November 2006.

The financial services sector also added 7,000 jobs.

While hiring went up from October to November, the nation is far from experiencing a full jobs recovery.

Employment research firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas noted U.S.-based employers cut 42,474 jobs in November, which is virtually unchanged from October.

Compared to last year, November experienced a 13% drop in job cuts. Still, the research firm has already recorded 564,297 job cuts for the year, which already surpasses the 2010 year-end total of 529,973 staff cuts.
