Loss mitigation technology provider PREO appointed Heather Guerin as its new president, promoting her from her position as senior vice president of operations.

Guerin previously served as vice president of loss mitigation at OneWest Bank, where she oversaw short sale and deed-in-lieu departments. OneWest acquired the remnants of IndyMac Bank in 2009, the year after the former top-10 mortgage originator shuttered.

Guerin replaces Eric Friedman, formerly of OneWest, Fannie Mae and Countrywide. Friedman will move on to a new company, according to a PREO spokesman.
