PHH hires new mortgage president

PHH Corp. (PHH) said Monday that David Tucker will join the lender as its mortgage division president, ending a two-month search.

Tucker previously served in numerous roles at General Electric (GE), most recently chief operating officer of the company’s oil and gas division.

“Dave is a disciplined leader who brings proven experience in private label and service businesses to PHH,” CEO Glen Messina said in a news release. “He is a change agent with a track record of growing and strengthening organizations through a focus on customer relationships, improved operating performance, financial discipline and delivering results.”

PHH’s search for a new mortgage president started in March when then-division head Luke Hayden left to pursue other interests, according to the company.

Smriti Laxman Popenoe, the interim mortgage president, will transition back into her role as an executive vice president and chief risk officer.
