Ocwen Financial Corp. (OCN) hired Jill Showell as its senior vice president for government and community relations.
Showell joins the subprime mortgage servicer from the struggling mortgage insurer PMI Group, which was seized by its regulator last year. She managed the company’s relationships with congress, regulatory agencies and consumer advocacy groups since 2004.
Before that she led government relations at Freddie Mac.
“Jill Showell’s deep experience at the intersection of public policy, communities and mortgage finance will be instrumental as our servicing business expands and as we continue to develop solutions for homeowners and investors,” said Ocwen Executive Vice President and General Counsel Paul Koches.
