New York-based financial advisory company NewOak appointed Donald McGuire as chief operating officer and head of investment banking.
As COO, McGuire will direct day-to-day internal operations, and as head of investment banking, he will lead NewOak’s banking professionals in the company’s mission to deliver financial services.
NewOak is expanding its efforts in financial advisory by strengthening its governance, operational systems and processes for scalability.
“Executing on our client’s complex solutions in investment banking, credit services and financial disputes requires a highly experienced and disciplined team,” NewOak Chief Executive Ron D’Vari said. “Don has the right combination of infrastructure and team building track record to help lead such an effort.”
McGuire was managing partner of KDM Advisors in Greenwich CT, working with founders and shareholders and management teams to develop or restructure their companies. Prior to that, he served as chairman and chief executive of Metastatin Pharmaceuticals, a preclinical biopharmaceutical company.
