Apparently, many homeowners are spending more or less than their neighbors on everything from mortgages to car insurance.
To help these confused borrowers figure out whether they received a good deal or a bad deal, HSH.com has launched a new tool to help homeowners determine if they are “Keeping Up with the Joneses” in their neighborhoods.
The interactive tool allows users to put information on everything from their car insurance bill to the mortgage. In return, they will see what other borrowers in the same zip code are paying for those particular items.
“Are you the oddball in your neighborhood?” asked Keith Gumbinger, vice president of HSH.com. “Or are your neighbors the strange ones? Do you feel like your mortgage is huge compared with everyone else’s or that your car insurance bill is outrageous? Here’s your chance to find out.”
