Mortgage broker gets 14 months for fraud

Nearly four years after indictment for his role in a $14 million mortgage fraud operation, a former Twin Lakes man has been sentenced to 14 months in federal prison.

Paul Zaleski, now living Ojai, Calif., had pleaded guilty to wire fraud and money laundering offenses committed as part of a scheme that ran from 2004 to 2006. He and four others were charged in May 2009.
