More than 1.5 million homeowners over the age of 50 have lost their homes to foreclosure since the onset of the financial crisis, according to a new report from AARP.
CNN covered the report this week to highlight the growing challenges older Americans face in today’s housing market.
The report suggests another 3.5 million homeowners are underwater, facing the challenge of retirement with more mortgage debt and less equity to tap into.
