MCS hires former military official to newly created CIO position

Mortgage Contracting Services hired Frank Elmore to the brand new “critical” position of chief information officer. Mortgage Contracting Services is a property inspections, preservation and REO management firm based in Tampa, Fla. In his position, Elmore is responsible for managing all information technology and computer system initiatives supporting corporate goals. Prior to joining MCS, Elmore was IT program director at U.S. Central Command Headquarters, where he led a large group of varied IT professionals as well as assisted in the development of the CIO and chief technology officer positions. He also wrote the company’s first Command IT Strategy. Elmore also worked with Dynetech Corporation and Ocwen Federal Bank in the past. Elmore began his career serving in the U.S. Marines for 23 years, 20 years of which were in the technology sector. Caroline Reaves, CEO of MCS, expressed excitement Tuesday about Elmore’s appointment. “Information technology is an increasingly critical component of any organization,” Reaves said. “Beyond technical skills, an individual responsible for spearheading such initiatives must also possess strong strategic and leadership capabilities. Frank maintains a balance of all these qualities and will certainly make an immediate contribution to our operation.” Write to Christine Ricciardi. Follow her on Twitter @HWnewbieCR.
