Kroll Factual Data gets new risk management VP

Kroll Factual Data named Michael Larkin as vice president of risk management.

With over two decades of experience in the lending and risk management industries, and most notably in the fields underwriting, fraud and quality control, Larkin has “wide-ranging experience and expertise” to offer Kroll.

“Michael brings not only extensive experience in the mortgage industry, specifically in quality assurance but also exceptional skills in management and relationship-building,” said Rod Bazzani, president of Kroll.”

Prior to his current junction with Kroll, he served as vice president and chief underwriter for DataVerify and CoreLogic. He’s also performed in high-level positions in the underwriting field for National City Mortgage, Extraco, Financial Group and Bank One.

Going beyond the private sector, Larkin was recruited as one of the two primary underwriters on the Treasury’s committee oversighting loan modification programs, documentation and procedures.

His presence in the industry can be traced back to 1994, when he founded Reliance Mortgage Processing, which performed underwriting and other services for lenders, brokers, investors, bankers and credit unions.

Larkin will transfer his extensive knowledge to Kroll where he will be responsible for oversight of planning, development, implementation and evaluation of business goals for risk solutions and services.

“His strengths are a great match with our commitment to deliver the innovative, high-performance products and services our clients need to succeed in their business,” Bazzani said.
