GMAC-RFC, FNIS Announce Partnership

GMAC-RFC Insurance Claims Services and Fidelity National Information Services Inc.'s Field Services division have announced a new strategic alliance to jointly promote their services.

By jointly promoting their respective services, both companies are seeking to offer a more complete solution to real estate servicers and investors, according to Ron Reitz, CPPA, vice president and director of GMAC-RFC Insurance Claims Services.

"The marketplace needs another competitive solution that will enable financial institutions and other real estate investors to optimize their insurance claims recovery process, repair homes faster, and minimize reputational risk between the financial institution and its borrowers," Reitz said.

"We decided to team with GMAC-RFC Insurance Claims Services because it was critical to us to find a provider that was vetted and licensed to handle insurance recovery," added Chad Neel, executive vice president and chief operating officer for FIS Field Services.

"Together, we will enhance the ability of our clients to safeguard their real estate investments." GMAC-RFC Insurance Claims Services is a leading hazard insurance recovery firm that assists financial institutions in optimizing the property insurance claims recovery process.

The company says it collected more than $180 million in insurance proceeds on behalf of borrowers whose homes were damaged or destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. FIS Field Services provides asset inspection and preservation services, and is a subsidiary of Fidelity National Information Services Inc (FIS).
