Genworth Financial promoted John Clifford to senior vice president of commercial operations and welcomed back Matt Young as senior vice president of sales in its U.S. Mortgage Insurance subsector.
Clifford previously worked at GE Capital as a member of its Financial Management Program.
His career at USMI started with a position as an account development manager, which would later transition into product development and segment marketing.
He eventually became the company’s chief risk officer in 2011 and was then promoted to vice president of products and business development.
Young joined GE Mortgage, which is now USMI, in 1990 where he held several leadership positions, including regional vice president of sales.
In 2006, he left USMI to work at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage where he served as vice president of sales. He now returns to the USMI team.
