Freddie Mac named a former U.S. Bancorp (USB) executive to its board Monday.

The government-sponsored enterprise selected Richard Hartnack, former chairman and head of consumer and small business at U.S. Bancorp, to serve as director of the company’s board.

Prior to joining U.S. Bancorp in 2005, Hartnack served as vice chairman, director and head of community banking at Union Bank of California.

He previously served the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco as a past director and once held the role of chairman for the California Bankers Association-Bank Administration Institute and the Los Angeles Urban League.
