Former senior CFPB regulator joins BuckleySandler

Benjamin Olson, former deputy assistant director for the Office of Regulations at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, joins BuckleySandler, a financial services and criminal and civil enforcement defense law firm, as Counsel.

In his new role, Olson will play an integral role in the firm’s government enforcement/CFPB practice, handling financial services matters at the intersection of consumer protection and government regulation, the company stated.

Previously, Olson served as Counsel in the Regulations Branch in the Federal Reserve System’s Division of Consumer and Community Affairs.

“Ben’s direct experience as a senior lawyer at both the Federal Reserve Board and the CFPB will be of great assistance as we guide our clients through the challenges ahead in this time of heightened regulatory scrutiny,” BuckleySandler Chairman and Executive Partner Andrew L. Sandler said.
