Walker & Dunlop, Inc (WD) hired a new team of originators for its capital markets group, based out of its new office in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

The three veterans, David Gahagan, E. Lehman (pictured) and Paul Ahmed, will join Walker & Dunlop as senior vice presidents, where they will finance commercial properties in the Sunshine State.

“Adding this team of seasoned originators builds upon our strategic initiative of hiring origination talent who can grow revenues and broaden our market reach, said Howard Smith, executive vice president and COO at WD.

Ahmed and Gahagan previously served as vice presidents at Grandbridge Real Estate Capital, while Lehman was a senior vice president for the same company.

The three men, who specialize in origination and the structuring of finance and investment sales, also participate as active members of several trade associations, including the National Multi-Housing Council and the Mortgage Bankers Association.

“The Florida group’s experience and accomplishments over the years, as well as their long-standing relationships with new sources of capital for Walker & Dunlop’s lending operations, make them an extremely valuable and dynamic addition to our company,” Smith said.
