Fidelity National Financial, buyout firm in talks to buy LPS

There are reports that title insurer Fidelity National Financial and buyout firm Thomas H. Lee Partners are in advanced talks to acquire mortgage service provider Lender Processing Services, according to a Reuters article. 

The deal is worth about $2.9 billion and would value LPS shares at approximately $33 per share, the article explains.

If sold, LPS would become a subsidiary of Fidelity National Financial, the Reuters article adds.
