Fed’s Williams wants reduced bond buying in second half of 2013

The economy could be a steady enough path by the second half of the year for the Federal Reserve to begin tapering its bond-buying programs.

John Williams, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, said this has long been his view and a disappointing jobs report later on this week wouldn’t alter his thinking too much, Williams told The Wall Street Journal.
