Fed’s Evans attributes economic boost to monetary policy

The Federal Reserve‘s ultra-easy monetary policy is giving the economy the boost itneeds to pull from the effects of the worst recession in decades, said Charles Evans, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.

“I am optimistic that this is going to be the year that really makes a difference and we start to take off towards the end of this year,” Evans said.
