Et tu, Canada? America’s northern neighbor tightens mortgage rules

America’s northern neighbor, Canada, is tightening its mortgage financing rules, putting a damper on a relatively robust property market, the Wall Street Journal reported.

The WSJ says Canada survived the housing crisis mostly unscathed, but its conservative banking sector is not taking any chances and wants to foil any chance that an overheated housing market could lead to a bust.
