A proposal to include the Empire State Building in a public real estate investment trust has been approved by 90% of the building’s unitholders, according to the skyscraper’s supervisors.
The plan requires support from holders of 80% of the 3,300 units of Empire State Building Associates, which owns the iconic tower, to proceed.
