Companies reach out to laid off JPMorgan mortgage servicing staffers

The planned layoff of 412 call center employees at JPMorgan’s default operations division in New York prompted several firms to join forces to find workers new jobs, Empire State News reports.

The publication says several companies located in Albion and Finger Lakes, N.Y., reached out to the laid off staffers in recent days.

In addition, New York Governor Cuomo deployed the state’s rapid response re-employment team to help the servicing workers find new positions with other companies.
