CitiMortgage rebuilds executive team for global push

CitiMortgage, the home loan origination and servicing division of Citigroup (C), restructured its lineup of executives and is planning how to spread its Global Mortgage Community to various regions beyond the U.S. An internal memo sent from CitiMortgage CEO Sanjiv Das outlined the new executives that have begun filling their new roles. Mark Danahy recently moved from the CEO spot at PHH Mortgage to become the head of originations at CitiMortgage. Vikram Jaipuria will head up the Citi Homeowner Assistance Program, in charge of reducing the amount of problem loans while implementing new foreclosure-prevention programs. Harold Lewis recently assumed the chief operating officer role at CitiMortgage, and Randy Black recently joined the team as the chief administrative officer and will also be in charge of monitoring the department’s operational risks. Steve Hemperly became the director of control and regulatory remediation. Mark Hillis joined CitiMortgage in late 2010 and will add to his responsibilities the role of chief customer officer. Beni Gradwohl will continue to lead the portfolio strategies and enterprise analytics, and Vasif Imtiazi became the new chief of staff. Imtiazi will also be responsible for Global Mortgage Community. His team will attempt to expand the U.S mortgage business onto a global platform. In his memo, Das called this particular initiative and the recent hires key to rebuilding the mortgage business. “Moving forward, I believe this highly experienced and talented management team aligns the right resources against the most important elements of our strategy,” Das said.
