Churchill Mortgage is now approved by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs to begin offering down payment and closing cost assistance to qualified first-time homebuyers, the firm announced. 

My First Texas Home, a taxable mortgage program offered by the TDHCA, is geared to assist Texas families and individuals buy their first home by providing low-interest home loans.

According to Churchill Mortgage, the program offers 30-year fixed rate mortgage loans, as well as down payment and closing cost assistance of up to five percent of the loan amount. 

“Programs like ‘My First Texas Home’ offer an excellent opportunity for borrowers, but many are unaware. We aim to raise awareness and help more individuals achieve their goal of owning a home, and we look forward to doing so,” said Mike Hardwick, president of Churchill Mortgage.
