Chicago’s housing market continues to see more homes sold, while prices for houses decreased in February, the Chicago Tribune reported.
The 14.8% annual increase in sales, according to the Illinois Association of Realtors, makes it the eighth month in a row that Illinois has shown a yearly improvement. February prices were the highest they’ve been since the housing crisis of 2008.
The increase in sales volume however, is juxtaposed by the 11.5% drop in median sales prices from the previous year.
