Chicago Association of Realtors names new president

The Chicago Association of Realtors elected its 2012 officers during a recent board meeting.

Ezekiel “Zeke” Morris (pictured) of Keller Williams Realty, was named president.

Morris joined the CAR in 2008 and has since served on its finance, government affairs, political action, property management and transition committees.

He owns his Hyde Park brokerage firm and runs a property and asset management team responsible for more than 850 units.

Matthew Farrell, broker and owner of Urban Real Estate, was named president-elect.

He served as the association’s first advisory board chairman for its young professionals network in 2010.

In addition to his involvement with CAR, Farrell manages a team of 30 agents at his real estate company and is co-founder and partner of NEOUSA, a consulting firm.

The newly elected officers will serve a one-year term, beginning in October.

CAR currently represents almost 11,000 members in the industry.
