She never thought about making a permanent move to Galveston or becoming a Realtor, but things evolved from buying a beach house to use occasionally and rent it to people wanting a vacation, to spending more time there herself. After buying another one in Bolivar, Morris went into a partnership with a friend and invested in a total of seven beach houses in Galveston.
