Bank of America favors Dallas market

Dallas-Fort Worth caters to a lot of big banks thanks in large part to its strong and growing economy.

According to an article in the Dallas Morning News, Bank of America (BAC) CEO Brian Moynihan said D/FW is an incredibly important market for BofA in terms of new business. The publication said mortgage originations grew substantially year-over-year in just the first quarter.

“It’s a great market. It’s growing. The economy has been stronger here on a relative basis than probably almost anywhere else in the country. They’ve done a great job over the years of diversifying the economy. It’s not only benefiting by traditional things like oil and gas but also a lot of other things,” Moynihan said.
