Fortune published its list of the World’s Most Admired Companies, and there was not one mortgage finance shop in the top 20. Apple, Google and Amazon.com once again topped the list. Berkshire Hathaway at No. 7 and American Express at No. 15, finance firms that have barely tangential relationships to housing, were the only two companies from the financial sector in the top tier. JPMorgan Chase ranked 22^nd, Goldman Sachs 39^th and Wells Fargo 45^th. Within the real estate industry, Vornado Realty Trust and Simon Property Group ranked highest. While CoreLogic and Lender Processing Services rounded out the top 10 most-admired financial data services companies.
