A new report from The Globe and Mail cites data that shows Canadians are paying off their mortgages faster than Americans.

“Of the almost 6 million mortgage-holders in Canada, about 1.9 million made additional payment efforts during the past year,” wrote reporter Dawn Walton with The Globe and Mail.
