Altisource CFO resigns, replacement chosen

Altisource (ASPS) said Robert Stiles, the company’s chief financial officer, resigned from the company, effective March 1, and will be replaced with Michelle Esterman.

No reason for Stiles’ resignation was given, but the 8-K form filed with the SEC says it “()

“We thank Mr. Stiles for his service and welcome Ms. Esterman as our new chief financial officer. We are pleased to hire such a qualified and talented professional,” said William Shepro, chief executive officer in a statement on Thursday.

Esterman, whose appointment will be effective beginning March 12, most recently served as senior manager, audit & enterprise risk services at Deloitte & Touche

While at Deloitte for more than 15 years, Esterman gained extensive experience in transaction support, complex accounting, SEC reporting, GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, audit efficiency and risk management. Esterman is a licensed certified public accountant and holds a bachelor’s of business administration and master’s of accountancy from the University of North Florida
