Gross purchases of mortgage-backed securities inched up, hitting $15.9 billion this week, rising from last week, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
Meanwhile, the central bank did not sell any of its agency MBS.
Additionally, the net purchases of agency MBS amounted to $15.9 billion for the same time period, unchanged from last week.
