August Kudos: Celebrating milestones, launches and awards in the mortgage industry

GIVING BACK

Movement Mortgage, a national retail mortgage lender, along with its employees donated more than 1 million bottles of water to the homeless since the company began its annual water drive in 2014. The annual Movement Water Drive is led by the company’s employees at its Tempe Sales Support Center, and the water goes to Phoenix Rescue Mission.

In 2018, the company collected 216,525 bottles of water, bringing the overall total since the initiative started to 1,006,050 bottles of water. The nonprofit Movement Foundation also matched the employee donations with a $150,000 grant to support the rescue mission’s efforts. Movement has donated more than $450,000 to the mission since 2014.

New American Funding partnered with the American Red Cross in its #MissingType campaign, which promotes blood donations for patients who need A, B or O type blood. The company ran a campaign on its social media channels, saying “Without A, B and O, we can’t save anybody. You are the #MissingType we need.” The campaign featured the slogan: Make Someone Whole Again.

Glassdoor, the workspace-satisfaction ratings website, recently announced the winners of its Employees’ Choice Awards, including seven housing market titans. Leading the pack, Ellie Mae’s Jonathan Corr is No. 14 on the list, receiving a 96% employee approval rating.

Taylor Morrison CEO Sheryl Palmer is No. 19 on the list, receiving a 96% approval rating; Jon Davis of Keller Williams ranked No. 30 and has an employee approval rating of 95%; Anant Yardi, CEO of Yardi Systems, ranked No. 53 on the list and has a 93% approval rating; Pierre Nanterme of Accenture is No. 57 on the list and has a 93% approval rating; Robert Sulentic, CEO of CBRE is No. 63 on the list and has an employee approval rating of 93%; Bob Faith, of Greystar, is No. 86 on the list, averaging a 91% employee approval rating.

Cloudvirga, a provider of digital mortgage point-of-sale software, announced its co-founder, Kyle Kamrooz, was accepted into the Forbes Finance Council, an invitation-only community for senior-level finance executives. LAUNCHES

National lender Waterstone Mortgage announced that it has opened a new Southwestern regional office in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Albuquerque branch will be the largest property and office for the company and will be home to more than 100 employees, including a variety of closers, processors, underwriters, loan assistants, marketing and administrative professionals.
